Doja Cat will be “more careful” with the artists she works with in the future

Doja Cat is almost three months away from releasing their third album, Planet she. The project captured features from Young Thug, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, JID and SZA as well as Gunna and Eve who appeared on the deluxe reissue of the project. Many of those guests on the album helped deliver memorable moments for Planet her, but according to Doja Cat, she plans to be a little more careful in selecting the artists she will work with in the future.

“I tried to be more careful with who I collaborate with,” she said in a conversation with ExtraTV. “That doesn’t mean the people on my album are – they’re amazing. These are the perfect elements of my album. But I want to be more demanding on what I do because I feel like a lot of features are going to come out. She continued, “It feels like people just tune into each other’s songs for the sake of having them on each other’s songs.”

“I want to be very careful with this,” she added. “Sometimes it’s too many collaborations and remixes and things like that.”

Doja’s words come after she provided a phenomenal guest verse to Lil Nas X’s “Scoop” from its recent release. Montero album. You can watch Doja’s conversation with ExtraTV in the video above.
