Sun Valley Resort will celebrate the last weekend of the 2021-22 ski season next Saturday and Sunday.

But the Easter Bunny has work to do first.

Mr Bunny plans to hide more than 8,000 eggs in the village of Sun Valley on Friday April 15, as the annual Easter egg hunt returns after a two-year hiatus.

The egg hunt will begin at 5 p.m. Children 10 and under will be grouped into different areas according to their age so that everyone has the chance to fill their basket.

After the hunt, kids can take free rides on the toy train, take a photo with the Eastern Rabbit, or head to the toy store to get glitter tattoos and make-up.

All events are free.

  • On Saturday, April 16, even the Easter Bunny will be heading to the Warm Springs side of Bald Mountain for the Baldy Bash, a free end-of-season street party with live music, barbecue, and a bar with Widow’s Bubbles. Clicquot.

The Piston Bullies will kick off with their alternative country western music at 2:30 p.m. The Casio Dreams, a group from Boise that performs music from the 80s, including that of Michael Jackson and Billy Ocean with sax, keyboard, drums and electric guitars, will take to the outdoor stage at around 4 p.m. Get down and groovy wearing your best retro ski gear.

Because parking is limited in the Warm Springs area, customers are encouraged to use Mountain Rides’ blue and bronze routes, which have been extended through April 17.

  • The end comes on Sunday April 17 with the chairlifts stopping at the end of the day. DJ Marlin will crank up the music from noon to 4 p.m. on the Warm Springs patio, and there will be a barbecue and bar outside.

Costumes are optional, but they always make things more fun.

Those who prefer to stock up on carbs before their last schuss down the mountain can enjoy Easter Brunch at the Sun Valley Club from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 17. The buffet will include eggs benedict, brioche French toast, an omelette service station and a chef’s carving station.
