Premiere: LØLØ and Maggie Lindemann team up on new music video for “debbie downer”

Hailing from Los Angeles, Toronto-based artist LØLØ has dropped his latest collaboration with Maggie Lindemann and a music video for single titled “debbie downer.” The pop-punk track sees both artists elevate their performances by delivering polished vocals, stunning energy and a unique vibe.

“debbie downer” is filled with pop-punk footprints and represents all that this fusion of genres is all about: charismatic instrumentalism, absorbing lyricism and plenty of rebellious spirit.

As the press release notes, LØLØ skillfully shapes its metaphor by filming the infamous 2000 film. Bring it on’The joyful chant of s “It’s cold in here” in an intoxicating and unmistakable hook in a song that’s about being the weird girl. The cheeky twist to the lyrics “brr, it’s cold in here, all black, sad and weird” is equally pleasing in the raspy purr of LØLØ’s Hayley Williams and Lindemann’s Halsey-esque pop diva belt. With “debbie downer”, LØLØ cements its status as a mainstay of the pop-punk revival and Gen Z’s chosen liaison between past and present.
