Shelter Music Group expands in UK through partnership with artist management company AYITA


Carl Stubner’s Shelter Music Group, which joined forces with BMG at the end of 2019, is expanding internationally thanks to a partnership with the artist management company AYITA.

AYITA partners Brett Fischer, David Gray, Harvey Tadman and Stevie Dreher will now join, according to a press release Sheltermanagement team and effectively launch BMG’s entry into artist management in the UK, with AYITA becoming a division of Shelter Music Group.

The agreement adds AYITA’s list of 31 clients, increasing the number of Shelter’s management clients to a total of 103, overseen by 41 employees with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville and London, led by the management team. by Carl Stubner, Brian Harris Frank and Dino Parèdes.

Shelter’s executive roster includes Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top, Estate Buddy Holly, Godsmack, Seether, Crowded House, A Perfect Circle, Mothica, and others.

In the new deal, AYITA brings in clients including Grammy-nominated Australian house producer FISHER, UK chart-topping artist BRIT 220 Kid, Grammy-nominated electronic music producer and DJ Chris Lake, the trio of Grammy Award-winning electronic music NERO, Noizu, Kiss FM’s Majestic, songwriter Autumn Rowe and more.

Earlier this year, Shelter added manager Scott McGhee and his clients, BeXar and Love & Theft, to its Nashville office.

Shelter’s service offerings have expanded to include a record label, Shelter Records, with recent signings from ZZ Top, Richard Marx and Our Lady Peace, as well as a book publishing brand.

In a joint statement, AYITA’s partners say the agreement “will create and maximize global opportunities for our customers” and that additional BMG resources “will generate immediate benefits and immense possibilities for the future.”

In February, Brian Harris Frank was appointed COO of Shelter Music Group, in a series of executive appointments at the artist management company headed by Carl Stubner.

At the time, BMG said the moves were “designed to further strengthen scale and structure” following the company’s strategic move into the artist management business.
