The GSU Orchestra will hold a spring concert

GLENVILLE, WV — On April 29 at 7:00 p.m., members of the Glenville State University Concert Band will perform at the annual Spring Concert in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium.

With free entry, everyone can experience concert band classics, plus pop selections celebrating Harry Potter, the 70s and American composer John Philip Sousa.

“It’s been a great year for all of our student musicians and I can’t stress how hard they’ve worked over the last few months,” said associate music and marching teacher Pep and director of harmony, the Dr Lloyd Bone. “The highlight of this semester with our annual Concert Band Concert and Honor Band Weekend is something we hope to share with as many community members as possible.”

After the Concert Band, South Carolinian variety band, N’Tranze Band, will perform at the Rusty Musket Cafe at the Mollohan Campus Community Center beginning at 8:00 p.m., which will also be free.

The Band Concert will be held in conjunction with the twelfth annual Glenville State University Honor Band. More than 100 high school and college students from West Virginia are expected.
