La Pointe in Dubai is launching a music festival.

Relm Fest will be a free event taking place in the popular beachfront destination of Palm Jumeirah from October 21-23.

Among the artists registered to perform at the event are Emirati soul singer Hamdan Al Abri, Iraqi-Belgian singer Sandra Sahi and Syrian qanun player Nagham Debal.

They will be joined by regional talent, including Lebanese Lea Makhoul and Palestinian singer-songwriter Noel Kharman.

In addition to performing in a picturesque setting, each act will have its music synchronized with The Palm Fountain.

Relm Fest will also feature plenty of dining options and a fireworks display. Other artists and DJs are expected to be announced.

Gail Sangster, senior director of Palm Jumeirah projects at developer Nakheel, said artists performing at Relm Fest will receive industry support through a series of workshops taking place later in the year.

“We have developed a comprehensive program that includes supporting artists in launching their music by choreographing fountain shows at The Palm Fountain,” Sangster said. The National.

“We also work closely with industry leaders such as Anghami and TikTok to help artists launch their songs, increase their visibility on platform playlists, and support them with workshops to provide the resources needed to strengthen their online presence.”

Sangster says The Pointe aims to engage with more musicians from the UAE and the region for future events planned at the venue.

“We’re looking for passionate, authentic artists who are dedicated to taking their careers to the next level,” she says.

“Our goal is to tap into different genres and styles to ensure that we target a diverse range of artists with unique and different musical directions.

“In terms of the future, we are open to exploring new ways of working with other artists, whether through Relm or other initiatives”
